The Ryleys School Chess Club, Autumn 2024. Monday lunchtimes

Dear Parent/Guardian,

Myself and the team have been teaching chess in schools around Cheshire since 2013 and we’re excited to be continuing
our club here at Ryleys. As a former British ladies champion and active international player I’m excited to share my passion
with today’s bright young minds!

We teach children chess right from the basics through to being ready to compete at national level for those that show
exceptional aptitude for the game. All children will start with our level 1 school course booklet which familiarises children
with the game, teaching them about check and checkmate. As well as teaching winning strategies we also provide ample
opportunity to practise with games and group exercises keeping the children engaged and having fun whilst learning.
